Our History
Back in April 2002, UCC Ukraine Child Care commenced. Our aim was to reach out to as many street children, orphans, or children from disadvantaged backgrounds as possible.

We gather the children every day (10 minutes singing, 10 minutes learning a Bible verse, 20 minutes Bible story and 20 minutes for a hot meal). Sergei Porokhnavets, along with others from Lutsk Christian Gathering, were a big help. As this work developed Anatoly Shevchuk along with Vadim, Inna, Oksana and Ira took responsibility and bigger and better facilities were needed.
In August 2014 with the opening of the new hall this work continued to grow. Inna, our cook in the kitchen passed away but thankfully her daughter Marianna took her place. Olga also joined and a lot of hard work has gone into the running of this work which continues to this day.

It was always our desire to have a “home for children”. An opportunity arose at the end of 2017 to buy a dilapidated building and we set about building the most modern, up-to-date home possible. We opened in May 2023 and God has blessed us. The love that went into building the “home” is the same love that drives us to provide a happy home for children.
